Ahh, the baby shower. A part of every first pregnancy. I was very blessed that my sister and several friends wanted to throw me a nice party. Unfortunately, it was planned for the day that I got out of the hospital...on bedrest. I talked to Sally, the midwife who was following me in the hospital. She said that it would not be a problem if they brought the shower to me. Which is exactly what they did. They went ahead and set up everything in the Community Center where the shower was to be held, but then shuttled the guests up to see me a few at a time. It was a nice afternoon, even if it did not turn out to be a normal baby shower. (Have you ever been to a party where the guest of honor did not show up?)
We were so blessed with all that we received! Here is a picture from the shower with 3 of the 5 hostesses. From the left are my sister, Sinead, Vicki (who is also preggers...), me and Manisha. The missing hostesses are Nancy and Jennifer. Thanks again to all of you ladies, for such a wonderful party!
